In the same way that windy days are like Viagra for flags, Redline Graffiti is a DC based quartet that melds a contemporary Alt r&b sensibility with elements of indie rock with the result being a very textured and distinct sound. Described as “somewhere between Frank Ocean and Passion Pit” by Blisspop and more concisely as “indie rock newcomers” by the Washington Post, the foursome’s brand of music has helped to establish them as a staple of the live music scene in the district.

Since its forming 2011, Redline has opened for such acts as: Jesse Boykins the 3rd, RDGLDGRN, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Amadou and Mariam, Starchild (the guitarist for Solange Knowles) and Emily King. They’ve consistently been a local presence on large festivals hosted in Washington such as ‘Trillectro’ Festival in 2014 and ‘Charged Up’ Music Fest in 2015. In March of that year, their music made its television premiere with the single ‘End of the World’ from their debut EP, ‘About and Because’, being featured on BET’s ‘Being Mary Jane’ and In March of 2016, they made their official debut at SXSW.

Redline Graffiti has crafted and released four EPs to date, (About and Because, Space and Water, The Drill, End the World Plus) and is currently recording their debut album, ’The Mere Souls’ to be released this year.
