Ruse de Guerre is a rock band from Reston, Virginia. In July 2015, they played their first show opening for hometown heroes RDGLDGRN. Less than two weeks later, Ruse de Guerre played their first headlining show at Jammin’ Java & sold out the venue. They spent the Fall playing around the DC and Richmond metropolitan areas, followed by another show with RDGLDGRN & capping off the end of the year with a headlining show at the legendary Black Cat in DC.

Their debut EP, “Empire” was recorded analog at the historic Inner Ear Studio with legendary producer Don Zientara(Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Fugazi, Foo Fighters, John Frusciante). It is now available on digital music platforms everywhere & physical CD.

In 2016 Ruse de Guerre went on their first east coast tour, coming back home to organize an Anti-Trump Concert/Community Arts Festival. The event was to showcase local talents of musicians and visual artists alike while administering voter registration and fundraising for DC’s homelessness charity SOME(So Others Might Eat). Fairfax County illegally nullified the permit for the event less than 24 hours before the show due to backlash and threats from Trump supporters, ultimately referring to Ruse de Guerre as a “public safety concern”.
